This is going to be a new "theme" to my blog - which will otherwise have art, maybe, but mostly cooking.
Welcome to Eyeball Cooking - Measuring cups are for sissies!
Please keep in mind that I am not here to teach how to cook, merely to share what I've made and recipes I love. I grew up with my mom and relatives teaching me how to cook, and not once have I ever really had "one cup of this" or "3/4ths of a teaspoon" of that, it was always "about this much". Beyond baking, I don't use approximate measures for ingredients.
In the future, I'll be providing more pictures of the process as I go along, as this is experimental so far, I will be learning along the way just how to show how to make each recipe. I'm a visual learner, so lots of pictures always helps me! I just happened to cook these eggs this morning and then thought, "hey I could share this with friends!" and didn't quite get process photos. I promise I'll edit them in, in the near future!
Now that I've thought of a theme, I will properly geek it out for fun!

Chives & Eggs
Materials:- 3~4 Eggs
- Chinese Chives (The kind you find at an Asian market)
Reagents:
- Salt
- Garlic Powder (optional)
- Vegetable oil
Weapons of Choice:
- Frying pan (for frying!)
- Knife (chopping!)
- Bowl (for mixing!)
Battle Plan:
1. Beat eggs in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, and sprinkle garlic powder to taste. Set aside.
2. The amount of chives you want is a small handful, you want about as much chives as the amount of eggs in the bowl. Wash and chop the chives into 1-inch pieces, and put them into the eggs, beat both together loosely.
3. Bring skillet to high heat, and pour in about a half- palm's size of oil, enough to coat the bottom of the pan when you swirl it. When it's hot, pour the egg and chive mixture into the pan, swirling it to coat. Let the eggs firm up before flipping- you can break up the pieces to make this easier. You can turn the heat down to medium-high heat so that your eggs don't burn.
4. Once the egg is browned slighty on both sides, remove from heat and enjoy!
